Magnolia Blessings - An Easter Card

Hello Prismacolor Pencils
Oh, how I have missed Prismacoloring. I literally have not had one in my hands for a decade. Copics seemed to have overtaken the coloring world way back when then I found a love for watercoloring. So it was really nice to visit my old friends that bring me so much joy.

I will list all the supplies I used down below.
This took me about 3 hours to color. I only know this because I sat at my workspace and watched 2 movies during the process. Prismacoloring is not a fast process by any stretch of the means. It takes time to apply the color, blend, apply more color, blend some more, then add even more color, and blend if needed. I find it very relaxing and the end result is more than gratifying for the effort. In order to blend the Prismacolors, the best results occur when using "Blending Stumps" & "Gamsol".
I would be more than happy to do a tutorial if enough people are interested.
Let me know in the comments below.
I stamped the image on 2 different pieces of cardstock the exact same size with Antique Linen Oxide Ink. I used the Stamparatus to achieve the exact same position on both pieces of cardstock. Then I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a frame to cut out of one of the pieces I stamped on. This allowed perfect positioning of the magnolia leaves to layer over top of the first piece of cardstock I stamped on. I colored the entire image in the background first. Then I carefully laid the frame on top and colored it to match the leaves. I was extremely careful to match the blends, shades, and veining. I wanted the frame to flow on top naturally. Or perhaps even make it appear that it was cut from the image below. In the end, I used foam strips behind the frame for dimension.

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. Someone very special to me will be getting this for Easter this year.

QUESTION: Do you still Prismacolor? Let me know in the comments below if you do!
Happy Stampin' (or coloring in this case lol)

Make Your Own Bunnies!! Way's to use it Wednesday Ep.2

Welcome back to "Way's to use it Wednesday's" Where every Wednesday, I show you something you can do with an item you may already have, that you may not have already thought of.

I'm starting to make my Easter cards. Call me an eager beaver, or BUNNY! lol
However, I have to mail some Easter cards to some friends in Cuba, and it seems the mail literally takes months, and months to get there! We sent ourselves a PostCard from Havana, Cuba on January 5th this year, and it has still yet to find it's way to our mailbox *sad face* I wonder how long it will actually take? Anyhow, to not have to risk my friends not getting their cards, I'm getting an early start =)

Aren't these little bunnies just too adorable?!? When I saw one of the little dies in the Detailed Bands Die set I instantly thought of bunny ears. Well, that was it. I was on a mission to create some little bunnies. I finally came up with the idea of using the Balloon Bouquet Punch with the 'ears' die and started making my card.

Watch the video to see how they came to life and learn a few tips & tricks =)

Wasn't that a fun video!? Thanks for Watching =)

Happy Stampin'!
